Hungarian Dumpling Style Noodles

Csipetke – Egg noodle made by pinching dough into the shape of a small dumpling and dropping into a broth. This is a great noodle to add to a slow-cooker soup because they take longer to cook and do not become mushy. These are the largest Hungarian dumpling style noodles. You can see them at the top of the picture.

Tarhonya –  Tarhoňa in Slovak, are similar in form to Csipetike but smaller and made by grating dough into simmering broth. You can see on the left side of the picture how they compare in size to the Csipetke.  They cook proportionately faster.

We also sell the factory style Tarhonya pellets. They are on the right of the picture, are uniform in size and are the smallest.
