Ceylon black tea is grown in Sri Lanka. Even though the main island is just over a quarter of the size of The United Kingdom, tea quality can vary greatly depending on whether the tea is grown in the highlands or at lower altitudes. High-grown black tea is characterized by honey golden colour and a distinct flavor, aroma and strength that set it apart from the stronger and darker teas grown in lower areas of the island. When you brew this tea you will know its lighter colour is the mark of a better tea.
